29 OCTOBER 2004 ♥ 23:12
A day of trials and tribulations... I think I didn't have a successful fast today because I was feeling so pissed and I kept on ranting all day long. =______= I'm disappointed with some people and I feel so mad and troubled and... I WANT REVENGE!!! Blah.
This is one of the things that enabled me to survive and kept me alive today:
JUNNOxJIN-NESS!!! Thanks to Elan for sending me all those beautiful pictures!!!
I decided to show them off in icons instead of the real scanned form because I just felt like making icons just now. ^-^ Awww, aren't these two so sweet and compatible? They look *so good* together. Love seeing them together! :D
(Btw, these icons come from pictures that are not originally scanned by me, so don't steal and no hotlinking. I'm going to blast you off if I ever find such cases.)
Oh and... magazine overdose!!! Like, literally. The air shipments finally came today! After almost one whole month being delayed at the airport, we finally get the air shipment of Japanese magazines. So sorry if we caused any inconveniences to our customers. >.< Blame it on the customs, basically. They're even bigger thieves than the ones I've met before.
I spent around six hundred thousand on magazines today... and tomorrow I'm going to have to spend some more. That's why I'm not 100% happy about getting these copies. ^^;;; Anyway, I got Anan 1435, Zappy 11, Arena37 11, PATiPATi 11 and Popolo 11.
Kosuke Kitajima is on the cover of Anan! I was ecstatic to see it!!! Inside there are six full pages dedicated to Kitajima's pictures and article. I didn't think twice before buying. I just took it without question. Waaaaaah, soooooooo happy to have so many pictures of Kitajima now that isn't a swimming pic. ^_^ This guy is fast becoming one of my idols, just because he swam so fantastically! Ganbatte kudasai, Kitajima-san!!!
Popolo 11 is OK. I like the KAT-TUN pictures in it as well as the Tackey & Tsubasa ones. My friend at work was hogging the magazine for a while before I could tear her away from it and take it for reservation. ^^;;;; She's a big Takki fan. I wanted to knock her head, though, because she kept saying, "My Takki, my Takki..." I was like, "Noooooo! It's not your Takki... It's Tsubasa's Takki!" LOL. And she was saying, "Look, don't worry, I won't take Tsubasa from you... you can have him. I'm not even looking at him... see?" And I told her, "Nooooo! Tsubasa is not mine... he's Takki's! You should say that to Takki!" When she started complaining I snatched the magazine away from her and said jokingly, "Fine! I'm taking this away from you because obviously this magazine is bad for our communication." LOLness. Those two are playing billiards together. Kyah. I wonder who won. LOL.
As for KAT-TUN's pics, in most of them Junno is together with Jin so I'm UBER HAPPY! ^_^ You can't imagine. I was literally kissing the page that had Junno's pic on it. I know I must've looked stupid, but I couldn't help it..... KAWAII DESU KARA! ^____^ DAISHUUUUKI!
Oh, today, we had that company function of breaking our fast together. ^^ A couple of us brought food to eat together, and there were several religious speeches, and we all prayed together. MDS Asst. Mgr. ordered rice-and-katsu bento for all of us and each of us got one box. Head Office and Plaza Indonesia staff also got some of the food, particularly the bento. I brought surabi Solo and Macaroni Schotel, which everyone finished in 15 minutes!!! I didn't even get to taste any of it! @_@ Pah. I guess there were just a lot of people... a lot of HUNGRY people. Anyway, it was a fun event and I wish we could do it again! ^^ It almost made up my troubling day if not for the fact that the people that made me feel troubled were also there. *sigh*
I need sleep. All right, I'm going to bed now. Kyah. @_@ I am so tired. Maybe I'll read CCS manga first before I go to bed. And I'm going to make hot choco. Whatever. I just want to sleeeeeeeeeeep...

Warning: long random ravings!
I'm so glad now that the audit trip is over. In fact, I've been glad since yesterday because it was over yesterday. Hehe. Nothing special that I need to say. It was sort of an anti-climax for all of us because on the first day the SIMS team only met with the GM and top managers while the rest of us were told to wait in case of "emergency". Only yesterday were we supposed to do anything at all. We attended a meeting with them, gave them our reports and then ... DONE!
Let's trace back what happened to me -- other than audit trip that is-- since the last time I blogged.
Good news: MY MOM LET ME BUY FOUR OF THE CDS IN MY WISHLIST!!!
I ordered Tackey & Tsubasa's upcoming new single, both versions, as well as Pipo Angel's and Takui's CDs! Yayness! My mom is the best! She's so generous! ^^ Of course, one of those CDs is supposed to be a present from my aunt who offered to give me a belated b'day present. How could I resist? Well, she's been doing that for years now. She always offers to buy me something as a present whenever it's my birthday or my graduation-from-something day. We're not close so I don't know why she bothers with me, but anyway, that just proves she's actually like my mom in terms of generosity. Actually, I had to beg my mom to let me buy four. But after some puppy eyes and some pleading, she gave in. See, this is why I *heart* Mommy!
So I can't wait 'til the TxT CD gets released so I can finally have them shipped over. And then I'm sure I'm going to be worrying about the shipment and etc. LOL. In any case, YAY FOR MOM, AUNT AND CDS!
Another good news!!! DAIGO IS RELEASING A DVD!
I wrote about it inDaigocchi after reading it in the official site, so check out the news over there! In any case, it's going to come out in December. I'm ecstatic about it. I *have to* buy it. I don't care how much it costs... I just know I have to get it. >.< (Hopefully I have the money to buy it then. I need to re-budget my finance so I can actually save some money for it!)
Yesterday something terrible happened at work. There was yet another thievery case. This time the culprits are two young girls who were sisters; the older one was a 17-year-old, who is a student in one of the most well-known private university in JKT, and the sister was still in middle school. They shoplifted in our store around 2 o'clock and was caught by our security. The things they stole were two copies of magazines and one manga. I was shocked because she stole POTATO 9 and 11!!! That means, the girl is actually a J-idol fan. @_@ First she only confessed to stealing only two items, as she had already bought the other two but when we ran a check on the POS and the audit roll, we couldn't find it. So as it turned out, she bought one Indonesian magazine so she could get a Kino bag, and after that she took those copies of POTATO and the manga and put them inside the bag as if they bought those too. Since this is their first time shoplifting they were immediately caught by the security. We asked them why they wanted to steal and they said that they just wanted to have a look at the magazines. We told them, "If you only want to look then why the hell didn't you just go to customer service and ask them to unwrap the magazines?" Then they changed their story saying that they didn't have money. But when we told them to open their wallets we discovered that the older sister carried Rp 700.000,- with her and the younger sister Rp 150.000,-! We were shocked! They could actually afford the magazines but they chose to steal them!!! I told them off, "All of us who work here are paid very low. Your allowance money is probably higher than the salary of some of us. But if we want to buy we pay for it! We don't steal!" We decided to call their parents. Their father is an accountant (see, they're well-off, for fcuk's sake!) and we asked him to come. He didn't want to at first, because of shame, I suppose, but eventually he came to handle the matter. He made them pay with their own money and he said he was going to cut off their allowance and block all their cards. They left with the two girls crying behind the father.
I feel so sorry for the father. Apparently these two girls are big fans of J-idols. They claimed that they always see those magazines on the Internet, in one of the idol forums that they always visit (I know which forum it is. It's an English-language forum, like Idolthoughts, etc. @_@) They usually buy these Japanese magazines, much to the dislike of their father because he thought these things were useless (most probably because they didn't speak Japanese @_@). The older sister also seemed to be a fan of Takashi Tsukamoto because she had his picture inside her wallet (LOL). In any case, the father was really angry and disappointed and couldn't understand why his daughters had to steal for something they could actually afford. He said he was going to seize all his daughters' magazines and forbid them to ever have them again.
It's just so shocking for me because I am more or less from the same background as they are. What more I'm also a fan of J-idols. But I would never ever think of stealing!!! Some people are just... kleptomaniacs. @_@ I feel so sad about this case. We're not talking about book mob syndicates here... we're talking about two young girls, just like any of us, who couldn't help themselves... *sigh* It's sad. Definitely sad.
Anyway, let's put that story aside. It's getting kind of stressful thinking about it. ^^;;;;
I have started reading my CCS manga. Sakura and Syaoran's images are a bit different form Tsubasa but they're still cute. I'm so into this coupling right now. Meeow. ^o^ I haven't finished reading vol. 01 but I cheated and skipped to Vol. 10, 11 and 12. Because I wanted to know the ending. XD Hahaha. But I'll read them from the beginning later, of course. Oh and, while we're on that subject, I love TOMOYO! She's so cute. <3
(Btw, the MDS manager from SIMS, Mr. KC, told me that Tsubasa vol. 03 US version was coming out soon. I said, "Goodie, I want to buy in Singapore as soon as it comes out!" He replied, "No, no need! It's coming to your store as well! Just wait for it!" I said, "I can't wait!" Then he looks at me and said, "You're obsessed." I just laughed sheepishly. :D Btw, Mr. KC is actually Moslem? Everybody told me that he was Malay! Heeee... I didn't know that! His name is definitely not Malay, and he doesn't look Malay! ... so I think he's like me? Often mistaken for not being native Indonesian? XD)
Is this entry confusing?! Aurgh. I don't know anymore. :P It's my first day bag after a three-day blog hiatus and I just feel like I have a lot of things to say! ^____^ I'm happy, haaaaaaappppyyyyyy!!! I'm happy to be back. And I guess, since I haven't been too social lately, I better start getting back into socializing. :3
Mel, ohisashiburi desu! I tried to tag ya but I don't think the tag worked. @_@
I'll be saying hi to lot of people --maybe... lol. Hahaha. :D
By the way... this JB MDS Asst. Mgr. is getting on my nerves!
OI! LADY! YOU DON'T JUST COME INTO SOMEONE'S ROOM WITHOUT SAYING SOMETHING AND START USING THE PHONE!!! IT'S THE BOSS' PHONE, FOR FCUK'S SAKE!!! AND I'M NOT INVISIBLE! IF YOU DON'T SAY "EXCUSE ME" I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE A FART ABOUT YOU ANYMORE, FREAK!!!
Right. ^^ What an exciting blogging morning! Let's all get to work now! Hohoho! ^o^ Jya ne~~~

Lookie:
My nightstand is falling off. XD Too many things on top of it. But I also have run out of space in my book shelf for all these Tsubasa RC manga. Not mentioning I'm going to get CCS tomorrow... @_@ I have some re-arranging to do.
Anyway, nothing special happened this weekend so this time the entry will strictly be about entertainment, Japanese and others.
Yesterday, there was no Shokura as scheduled!!! I wanted to cryyyyyy! But I wasn't as devastated as I was supposed to be. :\ Is it because that I'm thinking that nothing beats the Shokura episode two weeks ago where there was a massive Junno overdose (Captain Dajare, the solo dance performance and a kakkoii performance with KAT-TUN in NEVER AGAIN)? I mean, that Shokura is enough for me. :3 I'm still crazy about him in the NEVER AGAIN performance. I just downloaded the song from the Shokura performances! ^__^ I loooove that song so much and I still haven't been able to get past that. Well, I still hope there's Shokura next week.
Funny, now when I watch Shokura, I'm always looking out for Fumito Kawai. I guess it's true, then. He's become one of my favorite Juniors. In fact, he's my favorite Junior other than Junno... period. There's no one other than Fumito. Just Junno. And then KAT-TUN. And Fumito comes in close. But not quite. *moi = a definite KAT-TUN fanatic*
Besides, I'm compensated watching a PV that I just downloaded this afternoon... TACKEY & TSUBASA's SERENADE.
My comments? It won't beat the trio KISEKI-GET DOWN-TRUE HEART but I like this one much better than the rest of the PVs they did after HATACHI. I think it's the colors. So elegant and well-mixed. I also think their outfit is cool (but I prefer Tsubasa's look in YUME MONOGATARI). Ahhhhh, TSUBASA'S HAT IS AMAZING!!! He has yet again inspired me. I am going to look for a hat like that. If there isn't any, I'll make one. I just know I have to have it. See, this is why Tsubachan becomes my sweetheart between the two! ^_^ The song itself... well, I didn't really listen to it because I minimized the volume. It's a habit of mine; I don't want spoilers. I want to listen to it on CD. So I won't comment on the song. By the way, is it just me or Takki's hair is very, very long now? @_@ GIVE ME BACK HIS HATACHI LOOK! Now *that's* hot. No wonder I turned to Tsubachan... LOL. No, I'm just kidding. :P
Yay! Can't wait for November 3rd! ^_^
This evening I watched Pop Jam and saw Orange Range perform for the first time. Hey, they're not bad. I downloaded HANA a few days ago and thought the song was OK, but after seeing the performance, I like it much better. Popjam has been very entertaining in the past few weeks. Last week there was w-inds. They performed SHIKI and I was so amazed to see how much better they had become. Keita's singing is lovely and they move in sync with each other as they dance. I even think that they're as good as DA PUMP now. Their performance was even better than DA PUMP's MUNE KOGASU ~ANGEL VERSION in Pop Jam. I'm tempted to buy any of their newer CDs; anything with KIREI DA in it. It's such a beautiful song...
Speaking of which, I saw Lead in Genki Dash Doyah last week. Hmm... they still haven't really mastered the art of performing live. @_@ Their voices were really off-key but I liked their dancing. I used to think Lead was better than w-inds in terms of singing and dancing but now I'm rethinking my previous opinion. w-inds is just so solid now.
Heh, it's now close to midnight and I haven't done anything about Daigo. :3 I promised that I would scan his pics! >.< Must work on it now! Therefore, I'm over and out of here!

Plug: SHIRU'S JOURNAL!
I can't believe it!!! ^_^ Cecil finally has a journal! ^_^ It's fun!!! Now we can leave each other comments on LJ! Welcome to the journal-ing world, Shiru-chan!
My day has been... interesting.
The only bad news is that I have sore throat... yes, again. I have no idea until when this will continue, but ... by now... who's counting? I wonder if my throat is infected or something. But, whatever. It doesn't matter anymore. I'll just have to take the yucky medicines anyway.
Now, on to the exciting things!
Firstly, today we caught a thief again! Not just one but TWO! Thank God for the security cam in Kino! I'm so glad I pushed my boss to install the security cams in our store. We've caught one thief before, and now we've caught other ones. Apparently, the ones we caught today are actually book mobs syndicate. Such things do exist. A lot of bookstores have fallen victim for this, particularly Kino because we were so unprotected before. No security system at all. No Sensormatic, no surveillance cameras... NOTHING! We even experienced a shortage of security guards once! So, anyway, one of the SPVs recognized the faces of these book mobs and he alerted the security guards immediately. It happened very early, only a few minutes after the store was open today. Apparently these two thieves -- both FEMALES -- tried to hide the stolen items inside their clothes and padded their T-shirts with sponges to make it look like they're pregnant or something. They took three books, all design books, which each costs more or elss Rp 400.000,-. Security caught them in the middle of securing the stolen goods inside their T-shirts and they were immediately brought to our back office. Then they were ushered down to the department store's security office. They were interrogated there and their pictures were taken. I was called down to take their pictures using the company's new digicam, which later on I printed and posted in the office bulletin to show everyone the faces of the people who had been stealing from us. Since they're women, a lot of people were fascinated. Everyone wondered whether these women got beaten up in the security office but since it's the Holy Month and also because they're females (one of them is quite old even) they were left untouched.
My boss would have been there to supervise the process of the questioning of these women but he had to attend a meeting with his superior in the Head Office so he left it in the care of the SPV who alerted the security in the first place. My boss told us that he actually recognized these people's faces. Apparently these people also came to Kino in Plaza Indonesia a few weeks ago and my boss saw them as well. Some of the seniors also recognized them as being part of a large syndicate that often operated in Kino when it was still on SOGO's 3rd floor. Having known their history, the company doesn't want to demand the thieves to pay the books' price times three as a punishment, but the company wants to sue them and process the case legally through the police and the court system. We're going to lose those three books for evidence to the police but it's a small price to pay considering that we can actually incarcerate these people who have been stealing from us! Hopefully this also serves as a warning for other book mobs that we don't have mercy for thieves in our store!
After the action-packed morning, I had a very subdued noon that didn't last for very long because there was an annoying customer who created a major issue in customer service. This annoying lady not only called our supervisors and staffs uneducated and ignorant, she's also very sneaky. She demands high discounts for those books she buys from us, only to sell them again afterwards! WTF... Never mind about her --> all problem is cleared and we put her in our blacklist!!! (Seriously, those annoying people must realize that even though our store has a customer service section it doesn't mean that it's there to serve them as if we're servants and they're kings/queens. They should know that we have brains and feelings to so if they go out of line I'm putting them on black list.)
Fortunately, my afternoon was quite OK. Boss returned from the meeting early in the afternoon and then he locked the both of us in our room where I spent one and a half hours typing e-mails and letters for him. He ended up answering all of the incoming calls. LOL. After I finished, we cleaned out the room so it would look neater. Then I went to customer service counter to hang out with my friends and I told them the story about that rude, annoying old lady who likes to underestimate us.
When the working hours were over, I stayed behind to break the fast with my senpai. Then I had a nice conversation with Eiji-san, and he told me all about his experiences living in Japan. We conveniently avoided the topics on his working experiences in Japan because we didn't want to talk about serious issues after working hours (LOL) so we talked about Japanese entertainment. ^^ Apparently, Eiji-san is a Momusu fan who had joined their fanclub and gone to their concerts! I was laughing my ass off when I heard that, but when I told him I was a big Johnny's fan, he laughed his ass off. Then he commented, "Ami, there is no difference between Johnny's and Momusu... you like Johnny's because you're a girl and I like Momusu because I'm a guy." --> In other circumstances, I would've gone all defensive on that comment, but at that moment, I thought he had a really good point. LOL. I asked him if he knew KAT-TUN and he said, "Of course. They're really popular even though they're younger than the rest of the better known Johnny's." He asked me if I liked SMAP, to which I said yes immediately. Eiji-san's favorites are apparently Yoshizawa Hitomi and Nacchi. But we both say, there's no way we could pick only one or two names, there are just too many cute ones to choose from! Hahaha... I totally feel him. Anyway, Eiji-san also likes Mai Kuraki and has Mr. Children CDs. He's also a big Southern All Stars fan. When he said that, I started singing the song TSUNAMI and Eiji-san told me that he was amazed that I knew so much about J-entertainment and can even sing the songs without having ever lived there. Hahaha... Eiji-san, obviously you don't know the extent of my fangirlishness! (I do suspect however that you also have a big fanboyishness in you which you are currently still hiding from me right now!) Wow, I actually can't believe that I was able to discuss all that with a colleague and not feel awkward about it. Eiji-san's mindset and way of thinking are pretty much like mine, so I guess this is why I feel a certain sisterly affection towards him. He is pretty much like a big brother. Or perhaps it's just me, longing for a big brother... Haha.
So yeah, busy day. For once in this week I wasn't feeling bored at all! In fact I can say I had a lot of fun! And surprisingly today I felt like I actually have a life, not only in private but also at work too! ^-^ I wish every day could be like that... but the prospect for that next week is... bleak. With the audit trip and everything... Boss is going to drive us mad by Monday and then on Tuesday and Wednesday, Gek Huay-tachi will drive all of us mad... and on Thursday, we're going to drive ourselves mad... I can't wait for next weekend already! *sigh*
Anyway, for now, HAPPY WEEKEND, EVERYONE!
