Takizawa Omedetou! ~introducing Mr. & Mrs. Gothy~
happy (belated) b'day takizawa~
Gosh, I'm soooooo sorry, Takki, that I forgot to congratulate you on the 29th... whereas I had actually written an entry that day (but for KAT-TUN. :P) But anyway, otanjoubi omedetou, Takizawa! Have a great 23rd year of your life. Hope you reach all your goals and (you better, or else) stay together with my darling aniki, Tsubasa Imai!
I always make it a point to congratulate Takki because he was born in the same year as I was. Plus, I always say that Takki and Tsubasa are the artists of my generation (which is one of the reasons why I idolize them so much) because they are both, literally, my age. Don't you think it's nice that when you look at someone, Takki and Tsubasa in particular, and then realize, "Hey, they're as old as I am... and they've done so much. Now what can I do?" That's what I think when I see Takki and Tsubasa. :)
(If this were tsubAMI's world, tsubAMI would be following around Tsubasa-aniki and his boyfriend Takizawa on their celebration night just to take a peek or snap a secret paparazzi-ish picture of their lovey lovey b'day celebration. XD)
OK, OK... and now, I want to show you... Mr. Gothy!
I'm Mrs. Gothy!
Yes, yes, we're husband and wife, Junnosuke Taguchi and I.
*SLAP*
OH, STOP BEING A MARY-SUE, WILL YOU, AMY!!! >.<
But really, you guys, all Junnosuke Taguchi fans should definitely buy Bidan 04/2005:
Junno is cho-kakkoii in it. We're talking DROP DEAD GORGEOUS here. Amazingly handsome. Positively charming. There's this one picture where you could really cry seeing him. Just because he's so fucking adorable. I mean, it's *the* ultimate Junno picture. Not the kind of nosebleed picture that I usually promote but it's beautiful... very subtle yet... empowering. Ahhh, JUNNO, YOU ARE ONE HOT MAN!!!
I'm not going to bother giving many samples. If any, here's one sample I'm going to show:
(Scanned by Elan, who kindly sent the Bidan pictures to me and gave me permission to post it.)
That's the picture that prompted Terry to describe him as "Gothy", which later then prompted me to call him MR. GOTHY, which thus makes me MRS. GOTHY! XD
The glasses, OH! How lovely. Laa-dee-doo... I'm in Junno heaven... heeeeaaaven... ^_______^ My dream has come true. Junno finally appears in a male fashion magazine (albeit the fashion magazine being BIDAN). @_@ Now, if he could only be on the cover of FINE BOYS. Or MEN'S NONNO. SOLO. :D And this kind of confirms that the rest of KAT-TUN (Kouki, Nakamaru and Ueda) are probably going to get their turn to be on the cover of Bidan too! Otanoshimini shiteimasu!
And dude, now that Junno's got a solo cover on a fashion magazine, Tsubasa should get one too. Maybe I should write to FINE BOYS/MEN'S NONNO/COOL TRANS. :|
Anyway, Mrs. Gothy now has to go to work while Mr. Gothy's picture will accompany me all day long.
Junno DAISUKI!

... finally. After, what, TWO FRIKKIN' YEARS, they finally decided to release a KAT-TUN DVD again. And although Elan told me they picked the wrong concert to release on DVD (the 2004 concerts were allegedly better), I'm just glad that they're releasing another DVD. LOL. (Actually a CD release would be better, but fine, a DVD is not bad either.)
My mom said I could order but I have to pay for myself. FINE. It doesn't matter who pays. I just want to get it. Fufufu... oh and I've placed those orders for the three versions of TxT single, { MIRAI KOKAI }. They're released at the same time actually... so I'm wondering if I can add this DVD to the current standing order. Otherwise, we have to pay twice for the shipping price. ^^;;;

LAZY AFTERNOON *GRIN*
Oh yeah, you know it's a holiday when I'm blogging twice a day and it's not in LJ! XD Hahaha.
I'm just downloading a few songs now...
- w.inds. - { KAWARIYUKU SORA }
- Mai Kuraki - { DANCING }
- Skye Sweetnam - { SUGAR GUITAR }
- Tommy Heavenly 6 - { GIMME ALL YOUR LOVE }
- Tetsu69 - { REVERSE }
... and lots more!!!
That song by Skye Sweetnam... it's in the NANA (manga) album. I really want to get that album... although, I have to make a confession... I already bought NANA 1 & 2... but I haven't read them at all! *gasp* ahahahaha... I haven't got the time... >.< And now NANA 12 tankoubon has already been published! :\ Must figure out a way to buy it. Aaaaanyway, I think I'm being a little bit of a cheat here. I bought NANA and am interested in it only because DAIGO is. Not because I want to... so I feel like a bit of a fake. =_____= Then again, I'm the person who cuts her hair Tsubasa Imai-style, and tries to follow all her idols' interests... :P So, yeah, maybe this is the kind of fan I am.
After the downloads are finished I think I'm going to watch LORD OF THE RINGS again. I think I can already cope with the loneliness of not having anything to anticipate anymore. So I'm going to indulge my nostalgia! ^_^
Speaking of which, I CAN WATCH { LOST } NOW!!! DOMINIC MONAGHAN! YAY! ... just thought I'd announce that... hee hee.
OK, well, Hungry Heart is coming in a few minutes so I gotta prepare the video... if you don't hear from me until Sunday night or Monday morning, that means I'm having LOADS OF FUN during the weekend.
.25-MAR-2005. [09:49].
BUSY MORNING
I woke up early despite the holiday and I'm feeling a bit dizzy now. I need more sleep. I'm supposed to be lazy on this holiday, dammit!
I recorded Daa! Daa! Daa! and Hungry Heart earlier this morning and then had had to deal with the bandwidth problem and domain+server renewal of j u n n o s u k e - t a g u c h i . c o m ... blah. Come to think of it, owning a domain and a server is a lot of work. I don't know why I put up with it. (Oh, yeah, that's right... for Junno goddammit.)
After the server thingie, I updated all of my fanlistings:
Daigo Stardust FL now has 92 members.
Tatsuya Ueda FL now has 132 members.
Junnosuke Taguchi FL now has 30 members.
Tackey x Tsubasa Relationship FL now has 72 members.
I'm thinking of creating 3 more FLs but I don't know if I have the energy for that. But come to think of it, I feel so strongly about the subjects that I really do want to do it. Oh, well, let's see later.
Sheeyat. Now I just remember that I have to check up on things in Kino PI... about the voucher thingie... dangit. There goes my sleep... argh!

BLOGGIE, HERE I AM AGAIN!
I can't believe that I'm running out of bandwith in JUNNO.COM! >_<
Ironically, that site almost exceeds its bandwidth limit when it's ON HIATUS! Compared to this blog and all of my fanlistings... IT GETS MORE VISITS!!! XD I don't believe it. But does this mean Junno is more popular these days? I hope so... that boy really deserves some attention.
My mom has already given me the GREEN LIGHT to order Tackey & Tsubasa's { MIRAI KOKAI } single. I'm going to go ahead and buy all three of the versions. Just because I'm a collector by now and missing one version will make me feel a great sense of loss. (Thanks, Mom...) Usually, TxT releases their singles around the same time Daigo Stardust releases something of his own... but not this time. Daigo's being a tease now. He's not releasing anything. T___T I feel so sad. But he did say in his official site that he's been "filming". I assume he means a PV. That could mean he's releasing something in the near future. YAY! I love it when my favorite artists are releasing their work!
Speaking of TxT, a customer called today and asked about TxT Calendar 2005-2006. My friend was the one who picked up the phone and I happened to be beside her when the call occurred. She turned to me and asked about it and I, who has been keeping track of the sales of these calendars, told her that we don't have any more stock left because everything had been sold out. I was about to add that the customer shouldn't bother calling Kino PI because the calendar was only for sale in Kino PS but the caller disconnected as soon as my friend said that it was out of stock. Ironically, the customer said in a hurry that she was going to call Kino PI to ask about it. ^^;; Well, sorry to disappoint, but there's very little chance that the calendar might come again to Kino. I had had to push JB-MDS to bring it in and I only ordered 5 because, as I said before, sales of Japanese artists' calendars did not go well in the future so the MDS Dept. is very cautious about the quantity. Hopefully, next year, we'll be able to bring it in more because this year, obviously, we've done well in the sales! Just FYI (particularly to Nere, who asked this to me a few weeks ago), the calendar was sold out in the span of ONE WEEK. That's FAST. Anime calendars were sold out slower than TxT even! I couldn't believe it either! I know that the JB MDS is very happy with the result of the sales! ^__^
On the "reality" side, on Tuesday, I met up with my ex-French tutor (in Australia) who has now become one of my biggest real life idols/role models (other than Sakai-san) and my lifelong tutor, Adrien. The last time we met was one and a half year ago. So it's been quite a while and there was a big catching-up to do so we had a catching-up session in the hotel where he was staying. He told me so many stories that practically made me drop my jaws and also ROFL-ing (yeah, in a fancy hotel coffee shop). Ahhh, he's funny... So maybe I didn't learn a lot of French from him but the lessons he did give me about life is priceless! Je t'adore toujours, Adrien!
Long weekend this week! ^_^ It's Easter! So, enjoy the break, people!
... although, sadly, I might have to go to work on Saturday... shucks...

LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS
It's becoming a habit of mine to pile up stories of my life and not write them right away after it happened... now I have a bit of catching up to do. XD (I'm persnickety... I want to record everything that happens even if it's old story already.) The following entry is dedicated to a film that I watched during the weekend.
Shez Darling came to stay over as usual and this time I managed to talk her into watching a film during the MIDNIGHT showtime on Saturday. *pure evil laugh* I've never done that before. I draw the line at the third showtime because there is just no way I want to stay at the cinema during the creepy closing hours of the mall... scary. The latest film I've ever watched was { LORD OF THE RINGS: FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING } in Italy, which started at eight something and ended at eleven something. Then again in Italy it's not like the cinemas are attached to a mall or something. Besides, at that time, I was with a group of friends and the only thing we were scared of was the One Ring. (Come to think of it, that was pretty stupid. :P) Anyway, so yeah, we went to watch { LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS } and had a good time.
The film gets an A from me.
Don't even think of arguing with me about it. ^_^
Here's my review:
I'm glad that it depicts the depressing moments of the Baudelaires. After all, that's the whole point of the story written by Dan Handler Lemony Snicket. Although, it was saved by a very funny performance from Jim Carrey (which I somehow surprisingly could stand; he should spend the rest of his career playing Count Olaf so I wouldn't mind watching him) and Meryl Streep. The children were also cute, particularly Sunny and her unintelligible baby talk made clear by the helpful subtitle, and I love it when they make deadpan expressions. Anyway, back to being depressive, the visualization of the Baudelaire children visiting their burned home was one of the realizations of that "depression". Some other moments are equally so, particularly the scene where Count Olaf asked them to cook dinner and they made pasta puttanesca and instead the Count asked for roast beef. It never fails to bring this statement out of me: "It's not fair and it's not right that children at that age should be enslaved while what they are really entitled to is love and care from their parents."
I just have to mention two things:
1. The opening sequence is just fantastic!!! XD I thought we were watching the wrong film. The people around me in the cinema were saying, "Oh dear, we paid to watch Lemony Snicket but why is there a film about a happy elf?" (who looks gay by the way! @_@ --> oops, Elf + gay = Legolas? XD) But then it abruptly stopped and Jude Law's narration (he plays Lemony, of course) started and he said that unfortunately this is not a happy film and that we should all go if we don't want to see depressing things... A REALLY GOOD OPENING! ^_^
2. The revered CRAIG FERGUSON (revered, because he stars in one of my fanfictions as one of the most adorable characters) make more screen time appearances than what I've been warned and that was a bonus. It's too bad though that he didn't have any dialogue, although, I can honestly say that I can't remember whether his gender-less (gender confused? drag queen?) Person of Indeterminate Gender character ever did say anything in the book.
Another thing that is worth mentioning is the costume, which I think totally deserved an Oscar. The make-up department should have been rewarded as well. While Klaus appeared forever preppy and Sunny was dressed in cute baby dresses, Violet's style is somewhat Gothic Lolita-ish. There were a lot of frills, and long dresses and her coats are also dark-ish. The costumes for Count Olaf and his troops are also eye-catching. Lovely, lovely.
The cinematography is... beautiful. Likewise with the visual effects, lighting, set design and music. All the elements blend in quite well. At least it's good enough for me and it does portray many of the illustrations found in the actual book. I don't know how much involvement that illustrator has (I'm sorry I forgot his name), but the set designers sure did a fine job with bringing the book to meet the vision. Bravo, bravo...
Now, as with all other films based on actual books, it's inevitable that a comparison between the book and the film is drawn. I've always tried to separate the two things, because I realize the two media of storytelling is different and not everything can match (and no, I didn't learn that from LOTR; I learned that from someone named Massimo Magini in Siena). So, I try to be fair when making a judgment for a film that is based on literature.
As for this one, I have to say that I was worried that there were many things that were not able to be capture on film... I mean, they practically made ONE film out of THREE books. But my worries were unfound because what's important is that the filmmakers managed to capture the essence and spirit of the film and even include the best moments of all three books. Another reason why this is possible is the fact that Lemony Snicket's writing is basically more descriptive than narrative. He spends a lot of time explaining the meaning of words and telling us readers that this is a depressing story and that we should all get away if we don't want to get depressed, blah blah blah. That's fun to read but that's not so fun in films. So, in essence, the story of the Baudelaire children, where they are involved in some thrilling and scary and depressive actions, is captured perfectly in the screenplay of the film. Which is perfect for a film.
This film has a ... how should I say it... anime-like feeling. :P You know how the anime version of a particular series is usually different from the manga? Like, for example, Card Captor Sakura the manga and the anime are two different stories. Similar, but they are still different. And I think that's what the this film is like. The thing with the gigantic magnifying glass that could be moved around and adjusted so Count Olaf could point the sun to the Baudelaire mansion and therefore burned it is an example of what I mean with anime-like feeling. :P I also like that there are threads that connected the Baudelaire parents to Uncle Monty and Aunt Josephine. The thought that perhaps the Baudelaire parents were spies and all that... really, really intriguing. And it's good! Plus, it gives a sense of "conclusion". I suppose they made it that way so that they could form one whole film without having to come up with a sequel (which I heard, there wouldn't be any).
Other fans of the series are probably horrified that it the story is deviated in such a way that it goes quite out of the line with the real story in the book. I can understand. It's really outrageous, the thing I mentioned about anime-like feeling from the film's plot. But then again, it's good. And I like it. So I don't see anything wrong with that.
Should the no-sequel thing is proven to be more than just a rumor that I heard... well, I do hope the filmmakers change their minds. I wouldn't mine sitting through this movie again... and so I wouldn't mind seeing another one that continues this one.
Now that I've finished my review of { Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events }, I'll conclude this entry by saying that I totally splurged over the weekend, buying a Puma T-shirt, a Puma jacket (Azzurri jacket! XD), 16 tankoubon (some of which I will also review), and 5 magazines. If my weekends should continue to be like this, then I'll say, I'm having a good life. :D

KAR-KUN's BIRTHDAY
Hey, buddy!
happy b'day kar-kun~
A complete greeting can be found at my livejournal! It's not that I'm lazy to write those things all over again but I already included a pressie over there so, that's where you should head over. So basically, Kar-kun, all the best wishes for you and wait for more b'day pressies to come! ^_^
(BTW, March is such a birthday month for me. Two of my best friends are having their birthday... FREYA, on the 12th and today is Kar-kun's. Not mentioning my sis, my aunt, my cousin... ergh... so many Pisceans near moi! But there are also many Virgos and Libras around me. :D So yay for birthdays!)
PS. I don't think you'll ever find a real entry from me here in the near future. I'm in a complete dork mode. XD

SISTER'S BIRTHDAY
I almost forgot:
happy b'day pikachu~
Congrats on turning 19. You're still a kid, though, so you still need to listen to me. *evil laugh* And congrats for getting that ipod mini from our parents. I'll be buying my own later (and once I've got them, NO SWAPPING ALLOWED! You = mini, me = photo... capisci?) But yeah, I guess I love you... even though I don't have a present for you. I've run out of money. Thanks to the bank mishap. Ever wondered why people can be so stupid sometimes? Oh, trust me sis, you'll be more privy to people's stupidity now that you're an almost adult. Good luck on that one. *huggles*

NOT SO IMPORTANT
The only reason why I'm here right now is because I'm sleepy yet I can't sleep. It's not like I have something interesting to say for this nice little bloggie. As we all know, the El-Jay is where I dump all my shitty entries these days.
Speaking of shit and speaking of days, I just had a combination of both things today. Yeap, SHITTY DAY. Starting from a bank mishap, caused by a stupid customer service staff over at the bank and my own mother, to a rude and brainless floor manager... I have been tortured by idiocy and scandalized with incessant stupidity. Somebody shoot me, or give me Prozac, because I don't think I want to face tomorrow if today's any indication of how my life for the rest of the week should be.
The only highlight of the day is... Adrien SMS-ing me to say, "I'm coming to Jakarta next week. Time for coffee together!" (or something along the lines). Well, cher professeur, you better show up, or else...
Lately, I've been a Mary-Sue to Shez-Darling and drove her positively craaaazy! XD She's still high on the JinNo while I was in the mood of keeping Junno for myself. XD Nyaha. I've been telling her, "No! In the next installment, Junno is going to break up with Jin. Then Junno is going to meet me, marry me and live happily ever after." ... of course, only in jest. I still love JinNo. Oh and I was being mean and said that I wouldn't have given Jin a time of the day if he weren't so compatible looking with Junno. I don't know... the truth is, they might not be *that* close... but hell they look good enough together for some yaoi... hence, the attention for Jin. Otherwise, I'd have totally gone blind for the others and just look at Junno. (Although lately, Ueda and Maru have grown on me significantly).
Oh by the way, speaking of yaoi, did everyone know that Touko Kawai's KEIJIJYOU NA BOKURA is licensed by DMP? Yeap, that's right. It's being licensed, so I'll finally get something Touko Kawai even though it's an English translation. *happy*
I feel like drinking vodka. Absolut Vodka.

BMW FILMS: { THE HIRE }
Is it because I've been too absorbed in Japanese entertainment for the past three years that I failed to notice that there's a beautiful, wonderful thing called BMW FILMS?
That's right. This tardy ol' me has only just discovered BMW Films, entitled { THE HIRE } (series), starring Clive Owen. It's about a driver, thrown in so many complicated situations, who has to solve problems by... driving a friggin' cool BMW vehicle. Why only now? Because I wasn't paying attention, that's why. I am not a BMW fan. So leave it to me to be the last to know things about BMW. And then... my dad is not a BMW fan either. All of his cars have been and are either Mercedes-Benz and/or Land Rovers. Go figure.
Anyway, it's better late than never. I thank my bratty but sophisticated little sister who discovered these and shared it with me. Otherwise I'd never have the chance to see just what a brilliant production this was.
A number of talented, heavyweight directors directed the series.
1st SEASON:
+ It started from John Frankenheimer's { THE HIRE: AMBUSH }.
+ Then it went to my favorite { THE HIRE: CHOSEN } by Ang Lee.
+ The third of the first season was called { THE HIRE: THE FOLLOW } by Wong Kar Wai.
+ It was followed by Guy Ritchie's { THE HIRE: STAR }.
+ And it ended with the visually stunning but depressingly "real" { THE HIRE: POWDER KEG } by Alejandro González Iñárritu.
2nd SEASON:
+ The second season kicked off with John Woo's action-packed { THE HIRE: HOSTAGE }, which won an award.
+ The emotional and surprising { THE HIRE: TICKER }, directed by Joe Carnahan, was up next.
+ The last one made was Tony Scott, who directed not only Clive Owen but also Gary Oldman and James Brown in { THE HIRE: BEAT THE DEVIL }.
My ultimate favorites are CHOSEN and BEAT THE DEVIL.
CHOSEN, because the action is more subtle and has elements of mysticism in it. It's also a bit of a fantasy, which is a genre I've come to like a lot, and I'm just surprised at how graceful and beautiful the director made this film. Accompanied by classical tunes, Clive Owen drives a Tibetan kid to safety, only to save him again from the clutches of evil. It's so... Ang Lee. You know?
BEAT THE DEVIL, because I can't make sense of a single word that is uttered by Gary Oldman and James Brown. Hahaha... accents are flying around in this installment of THE HIRE and I absolutely love it. The shots are eclectic. The ending is a succesful irony. The "color" of this film is also beautiful. Not to mention the music. It's like a beautiful symphony of nonsense. Who doesn't love it?
I like all the others as well. They leave a great impression on me, in so many different ways. For example, POWDER KEG and TICKER are impressive in a way that they portray realities that the rest of us might want to be blind to. In POWDER KEG, there's one moment where I just couldn't keep out of my mind and made me have to stop for a while. It's that shot of the writing on the wall: queria muerte. For me that was poignant. The most touching moment in TICKER is Don Cheadle's character telling the driver that what he was carrying was "hope" and was "life". Beautiful words are written in these films. And it's such a pity if anyone should miss it.
Although it's not exactly on top of my favorites, I'd also like to mention a word or two on STAR. It's pretty straightforward in terms of story telling. No impressive dialogues. No intriguing plots. But for a CAR campaign, John Woo brings out the best of the BMW. That is to say, I could care less for Clive Owen (no matter how hot he is) and for Madonna in this short film and I managed to keep my eyes glued on the BMW. Damn brilliant. Every car company should hire John Woo to direct an advertisement for their car. Of course, beware of the slightly negative aftermath; I'm now thinking of buying a BMW just so I can do all the driving actions. XD
In conclusion, BMW film series is a work of art. It's so gratifying to see these short films. They're just "right". I hope they keep at it. I'd love to see more. If not, then I'm content with what there is right now. All of these films... they really inspire me to make films. Short films. Whatever films. It's thrilling!!!
If you haven't already... head over to BMWFILMS.COM. You won't regret it.

MUSINGS AT NINE FIFTY PM
Sometimes I wonder why I always try to be ethical, polite and even diplomatic. It's obvious that people don't treat me the same way so why the hell do I even bother putting up being such a miss goody two shoes? I guess I'm just too much of an idealist. It's like a bad habit, you know.
And what do you do when normal communication is not working? I mean, I thought we could talk about anything and everything. But maybe the definition of "anything and everything" to the other person is not the same as my definition of it. It reminds me of the time when I made this short film during my 6-month language training in Italy. The film was called {Funzione Fàtica}. I happened to write the script based on the subject picked by my friends Federico and Anne Catherine, regarding l?incommunicabilità. I experienced that in Italy, the inability to communicate properly with friends. But somehow now I'm experiencing it again. The difference is that when I was in Italy, the cause for my communication problem was the language. We were all students of Italian language and had difficulties using that language to express ourselves clearly because it's not our native tongue. And this time, what seems to be the problem is... unclear. I don't even know what the problem is. But I do know that there is a problem.
Cambiando argomento, I finally bought THE DA VINCI CODE: Illustrated Edition. Just for the sake of it. Did I tell you I'm a fan? Oh yeah. It gave me great satisfaction to pick up the book from the shelf and bring it over to the cashier counter and swipe my credit card for it. The book is lovely. Fine quality paper, lovely font, great pictures... lovely. Just lovely. Although, I still don't quite understand why Mr. Dan Brown feels the need to satisfy his readers' requests to show pictures of the places and objects that he wrote in TDVC. I mean, if it were up to me, I'd leave the novel picture-free. Then again, that's probably why Dan Brown is a best-selling author while I'm just a writer wannabe.
In response to one of the web search queries I recently found in my tracker:
Q. CAN TIZIANO FERRO SPEAK ENGLISH?
A. HE FUCKING WELL CAN. In fact, his English is superb. In fact, of all the Italian-accented English I've heard from those Italian celebrities, Tiziano Ferro has the best one because... he doesn't have a distinct accent when he speaks English. If his pronunciation in the song SOUL-DIER isn't enough an indication of how good his English is, then y'all should watch his interview from The Music Room, covering the Festivalbar. Was it last year or two years ago? I think it was two years ago. Bloody hell. Can he speak English. I'm going to say this one again... TIZIANO FERRO SPEAKS GREAT ENGLISH! And that's why I'm so crazy about him.

Why Gohou Drug? This series rocks and Kazahaya+Rikuou are one of the best couples around! The illustration is unique and so typical of the illustrator and the plot is simply intriguing.
Why the layout? I love this particular illustration of Kazahaya and Rikuou from my favorite arc in the series. Ever since I laid eyes on it, I loved it.
Special thanks to SHEZZY, my best friend who helped me make this layout until midnight a couple of weeks ago. (hugs)
