Subject: Tragedy

This is a tragedy. I've had a day full of mixed emotions. I ... I don't know. I'm just... completely stunned. @_@

That bomb that blew off in the Australian Embassy in Kuningan... =___= My driver and one of my housekeepers had just passed it twenty minutes before the explosion. They had just dropped me off at Wisma 46 - BNI Tower because that was where I had to be today. Like I said yesterday, I had that training session with Debenhams. My mom went to Bandung this morning to do this thingie with Citibank and said I should just take one of my housekeepers to get through the 3-in-1. After I was dropped off, there were only two of them in the car so naturally they couldn't go back through Sudirman. At that time, my driver said, it wasn't packed at all so they could get through smoothly. My driver said to my housekeeper (who rarely went out of the house), "This street is usually packed during this house. Luckily, today isn't so packed so we can go home earlier to do the other errands." Twenty minutes later, when they were already at the Mampang crossroads, the explosion happened. If the street had been packed, if my car hadn't been able to pass smoothly... they would've been victims.

During the explosion, I was in the 8th floor of Wisma BNI along with sixty other people and the five Debenhams representatives from the UK, and was listening to the Debenhams' rep's explanation on the retail history of the dept. store. I was sitting next to Ema, taking notes and stuff, when suddenly we heard a loud blasting sound. The glass windows shook. Several chairs that were stacked together in one side of the room even fell down. We all thought that someone was clumsy and knocked them over, or that it was the thunder. We didn't pay much attention to it because the English lady was still talking and talking. A few minutes later, my cell phone started to vibrate. It was from my mom. I couldn't pick it up so I waited until breaktime. By the time I managed to call her back she had tried to call me four times. When the call came through she said, "Ami-chan, where are you? A bomb just exploded in Kuningan. Call dad and see if he thinks you should go home." At first I was just, "Oh really? You're kidding right?" But then I remembered the shaking glass from before and was, like, "Omigod. That was the effect from the explosion?!"

Man, I have to confess: I FREAKED OUT!!! I completely freaked out!!! >_____< I mean, the explosion was in Kuningan... and I was in Sudirman... NOT EVEN IN SUDIRMAN!!! Wisma 46 is farther away from the main street! But we could even feel the explosion!!!
Later on that day, after the packed training schedule, I went up to the 44th floor, where the Accounts & Finance Dept. was, and talked to Mbak Dessy. She recounted the explosion from her point of view. She even saw the explosion from the window. The whole floor shook and there were loud clanging noise and the managers even came out of their rooms and everybody got away from their cubicles, screaming, thinking that they had been attacked. But then they saw the white smoke from above and knew that something had happened.
WE'RE ON A DIFFERENT AREA! But still the effect was greatly felt even on our side! I freaked out even more after I heard that. =_____=;;;;; It's like... shinjirarenai...

My mom's office is in the same area and not far from the location of the explosion. @_@ I thank God (and Citibank) for making her go to Bandung even though she's been very busy lately. She could've been hurt because the windows of her office building, in Femina, was broken and shattered. So other than my driver and housekeeper, it could've been my mom... what a near-miss!!!
More unfortunately, however, is my uncle. He's my dad's youngest brother. He works in the building right next to the Embassy. He was working on something in his laptop and then suddenly he was thrown across the room. Pieces of glass from the window hurt him on the head and arm, but nothing serious. He was treated in MMC and later on checked himself in another hospital and was declared all right. When his name appeared on the injured list, I was told that my parents and my other relatives panicked. Thank God he's OK.

WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP EXPLODING THINGS?!
COULDN'T PEOPLE JUST LAY OFF THE BOMBS?!
I CONDEMN WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE!!!
DON'T THEY KNOW THAT THE ONES THEY'RE KILLING AND HURTING ARE INNOCENT PEOPLE?!
THOSE PEOPLE IN THE CAR, THE PEOPLE WHO HAPPENED TO PASS BY THE STREET, NOT KNOWING WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN... WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WRONG?!
STOP IT, FREAKS!!!!! I WISH Y'ALL JUST GO TO HELL!!!

At times like these... I feel like I'm so powerless, useless... I mean, I can't do anything to stop these bad things from happening and possibly hurting the people that I care most. I want it to stop. I don't want it to ever happen again. But it's even scarier to think about the possibility of future occurences. By now, the frequency is getting high, here... JEC bombing, Bali bombing, Mariott bombing... and now this... I know people elsewhere, in other parts of this world, experience this not on a yearly basis like we do here, but this is definitely not good. SOMEONE MUST DO SOMETHING.

What has happened to our world?

Subject: Office Talk

Oh god, it's amazing that I can feel as happy as I am now... considering that yesterday, after the last time I blogged I felt like SHIT. My self-esteem just went down the drain, and I felt like I would never cheer up ever again. I have no idea why I feel that way. @_@ Must be the cramps. :\ Or I just really felt depressed yesterday. Not even the gelato could make me feel better. T_T

Anyway, the reason why I'm happy is because I finally have a photo of E.K.-kun! ^_____^ I brought my digicam to work toady and took pics of my office and since my senpai, who's also a photo whore like moi XD, insisted that I take pictures of everyone in the office! There were still some people there even after office hours to work overtime, incl. E.K.-kun, so I got a picture of him too. I even took a picture of him when he was seriously working on his supervisor's computer. *hearts* He ish shooooo kyoooooot. Fi and Ters say he looks like Pippo. So I guess my type *is* PIPPO-type. :P

But... since I am too chicken to post up a picture of him and my other colleagues (the risk of them finding out is too high! XD), I'll have to settle by posting pics up of my room at the office.

I have a teddy bear on my desk at work. The English-language school that visited our store a few weeks ago gave it to me as a thank-you gift for having been their tour guide. :P Hee hee. Nothing much can be seen here. Unless you take notice of that pink-ish little box on my desk. That box contains my newly made name cards. ^-^ I have a professional name card now. Hohoho. ^o^

Same desk, different angle. That's my working bag. Transparent. Everybody thinks I'm either crazy or funky to bring that bag to work. 'Cause everybody can see what I bring. And inside my bag I always bring things that are so unrelated to my work, like DiscMan, CD book, and novels. XD Oh and that's the stupid printer... I just had a "fight" with it today. Blah. It wouldn't print my documents. @_@ This little corner is where I spend most of my time at the office. I used to shuffle my schedule between here and the CS counter outside in the selling floor, but ever since our office got better Internet access, I prefer staying here, esp. when my boss is not around so I can play around. Hee hee. (Psssst, don't tell anyone. Hehe.)

And this, my friends, is the rest of the room. This desk is where we usually have our meetings, or, more often than not, where my boss sits when he's in the office. :P Every day before I go home I clean up this place, but come afternoon, i.e. after my boss has been there all day long, it gets all messy again. So I have to clean it up all over again. He's one of the most disorganized person I've ever met. No wonder everybody was pushing him to get a secretary. *sigh* It looks so nice when it's clean and organized. Oh well... it's all in a day's work!

I've been listening to PIERROT non-stop since yesterday. I still haven't quite got used to their sound yet but currently there are two songs that I love passionately from them, MORNING JUNKY and HARUKA. Mad. Brilliant. I guess I'm going to try to buy their album, 'cause by now my curiosity has run too deep to be satisfied with only a few downloads. :\ ... there goes my money again...

Oh and, I changed my LJ icons. :D Three new Daigo icons. (Yeah, still Daigo, though. XD)

I should get off this computer now and try to get some sleep. Tomorrow I'm supposed to attend a training session. Somehow I got appointed to become coordinator for Kino for this training. I had to call up the staff of Kino PI who should also go to the training, as well as Eiji-san. I called Eiji-san twice today, when he's supposed to be resting 'cause today is his day off. Gomen, ne, Eiji-san. ^^;; But he's so nice. He answers my call in a very friendly way and never sounds like he's annoyed by me. I feel bad for always troubling him.

Speaking of which, I wonder why everybody thinks I still have the hots for him. I admit that in the beginning I was into him because I thought he was cute. At that time I didn't know I was going to be working so closely with him. After he started working, I realized that we're going to be more than just colleagues, but even closer -- we're partners! So, I think it would advisable... anzi it is NECESSARY that I don't get into any kind of relationship with him. I have always thought relationships in the work place with a colleague is a big no-no. Even now my crush for E.K. is not that big anymore. Therefore, it really gets on my nerves when someone reacts smugly like this: "Ooooh, did you just call/talk to Eiji-san?" whenever I say I've just been talking to him. Enough already!

Aieee! Look at me. I said I was going to get off the computer and what I did was add more rants to my happy-ending day. ^^;;; I should really stop now before I get back into depression mode. Haha. :P
Lastly, thanks ELAN for your positive news. *wink* (You know what I'm talking about... :D If you don't, then wait for my e-mail reply!)

Now, I'm outta here.

Subject: Curious About Pierrot

(While I'm cramping...)

I'm downloading Pierrot songs now. Last night I was watching GET BACKERS again and suddenly felt like listening to more Pierrot. Bwahaha. So I've been downloading songs since this morning.

Going out for a while because if I stay at home, I'm going to go crazy. There's nothing else to think about but the cramp! >.< Hiks.

I'll be back later to blog some more.

Subject: Cramping

Second day of period. >.< Sheeyaaat! It hurts a lot.

So, in the middle of this cramping I'm trying to amuse myself. ^^;;

I've just finished downloading Tsukiko Amano's songs from here. I have absolutely no idea how she sounds like previously, but now I know. And it's not bad. She's a rock singer, and I was expecting something like Shiina Ringo but her sound is obviously different. Her songs remind me a lot of Hitomi Yaida although her voice is completely different. But, once again, it's not bad. I'm enjoying this. Oh and yay, I'm listening to something else other than Johnny's/Daigo Stardust. XD Thanks again ojochan~

I finally bought those books I've kept on reserve for so long... I got CLAMP's XXXHolic, Rupert Everett's Hello Darling, Are You Working? and NEVERLAND's photo book featuring my favorite 'brother', Tsubasa Imai. ^_________^ CHO-URESHII!!! :D

I read XXXHolic already. It's cool. Not as enjoyable as Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles but the story is cool nonetheless. I love the witch Yuko. She's so spunky! ^-^ She's probably my favorite female CLAMP character after Chii and Sumomo. Wahahaha. :D ... BTW, the English translation of this series is not bad at all! Those guys in Del Rey Manga sure are doing their job properly. *thumbs up*

As for the other two, I still have no comments as of now, because I haven't even opened them from the wrappers. XD But I'll do so tomorrow and start reading Rupert's book (while trying to fight the unbearable cramp). @_@ I asked for a sick leave tomorrow, anyway. >.< So I can rest. With my books.

Hmmm... now I'm thinking of getting the .HACK//Legend of the Twilight series as well. The character design in the anime is so, so cute!!! <3 *CHUU* Shugo and Rena are waaaaaaay cute. Yeah, I think I'm going to order it as well from her. Hee hee.

Oh and this morning, I came to work using very dark eye make-up. It was heavy on the eyeliner to help accentuate my ugly-looking eyes. Got the inspiration from Dominic Monaghan anyway. But people at the office thought I was "into Gothic style". Well... HMPH. Whatever. I'll use whatever make-up I like, damn it.

Guess what! I took pics of my room @ work, so I'm going to post it up tomorrow (provided that I don't cramp too much).

Jya, I think I better go to bed now. So I can actually survive tomorrow's cramp. *bawl* Nighty night.

Subject: Music, Scans, and My Room

I downloaded songs from here and here. Downloaded three Ruppina songs, Jewelry's DELIGHT SWEET LIFE and one song from day after tomorrow. All is good. Very J-pop ish. I like. I miss listening to J-pop songs. Lately, I've only been listening to Daigo, which is J-glam rock (? XD). The rest, it's Olympics music and some Tiziano Ferro. So I kinda miss these sounds. I'm going to look for more J-pop songs to download after this. Btw, thanks ojochan for providing the songs.

Back to some scanning activities. Yeah, scans. Not Johnny's thought. XD I have tons of Johnny's idols magazines that I haven't touched. :\ To give way to some artists that can be found in FOOL'S MATE magazine. Hahaha. :D
Right now it's Miyavi. Just now it was Merry. After this it's going to be lab. and Gazette. There's supposed to be another one that I am scanning. I forgot which group, though. =____=
Daigo scans have already been posted up. Everything can be found here.

After all this scanning, I think I'm going to chill in my room until dinnertime. I'm re-organizing it once again. The last time I did it, I wasn't so satisfied with the result. Plus, I have some more new stuff and I have to make them fit in my room somehow. I really need to buy a CD rack, or something that I can use to store my CDs and DVDs neatly. If I get bored with the activity, then I'm going to experiment with clothes and make-up (hahaha, how vain of moi! :3) ... that is, if I don't come down to the computer again and find either one of my hentai friends or both to chat with (hohoho, you know who you are, peeps).

Please don't let this weekend end... >.<

Subject: Mon Weekend

YAY! Server's back up. ^-^ Yesterday it was down from around 6 a.m. 'til I don't know when. =______= I wanted to blog but couldn't because I couldn't access my control panels. Heck, nothing worked yesterday. *pissed off* BUT THAT WAS YESTERDAY! Now it's workin again. And I better blog before something else happens. XD

So... what did I do yesterday... oh!!! On Friday evening there was this teenager who came over to the Customer Service area and reserved a Calvin & Hobbes book and asked if he could deposit a bouquet of white roses. He was all dressed up and looked jittery so I guess he must be on a date and the book and the roses were for his girlfriend. Actually, I didn't want to keep the roses but he was pretty insistent so I finally gave in. He thanked me, asked for my name and thanked me again. XD So funny!!!! Ahh, these teenagers... :P Anyway, I left before he came back to our post to give the girl the flowers so I don't know what happened next but according to my colleagues, he wasn't so successfull because the girl didn't look terribly excited at the flowers. Hahaha...

And yesterday, Saturday, I went to Kino PS again, thinking that Frans would come in and order us to wrap, wrap, wrap. (I still love wrapping indeed.) But he wasn't in and only Tiga was there and so I came in vain. But I helped around a bit, talked to Imam and everybody else there. Even met my ghetto brotha (inside joke, sorry XD) Ramon and fooled around a bit with him. Bwahaha.
Anyway, another customer came to the customer service post and started asking about J-pop and J-rock artists. He liked the song that we were playing, which was Toshi Kubota's LA LA LA LOVE SONG, and asked which album did it come from and where to buy the album. We ended up talking about J-rock because he said he liked L'arc-en-ciel and was asking me for recommendations for other bands. I mentioned Gackt, Pierrot and Daigo Stardust (heh, heh... promoting Daigo ^o^). He paid careful attention to those names and said he was going to try to find their albums. Hee hee. :D He asked my name and which department I work in and said that if he was looking for further recommendations he'd come to me. Bwahahahaha... sir, we're a bookstore, not a CD store. ^^;;; But oh well, at least I helped someone (and managed to promote Daigo). :P

I'll tell the rest of my Saturday with pics. Because I was bored and to un-bore myself (XD) I went out and brought my camera and took pics of everything that I came across with.

+ New nail art. Actually it's not that 'artsy'. XD I had this done on Friday evening, after work. I was going for the usual French manicure but thought it was boring and I saw a sample of this color-tip-on-transparent-base manicure with flowers on it and I fell in love. But I didn't put on the flowers because I'm not a very neat person so it's no use; it'll come off just after a few days. Blah. But I quite like it this way though. It's glittery, which is significant to Daigo, so I'm going to call this one a Daigo manicure. XD

+ My cat Schummi. He is so bratty these days. He takes up a lot of space when he sleeps because by now he's big already and when he stretches out his long body practically occupies every table that he sleeps on. We even had to remove half of the picture frames and vases on that particular table so that it won't be broken. I sort of had a 'fight' with him because I tried to remove him by lifting him up and then deposit him somewhereelse but then he came back to that spot. Blah. It happened several times until I got angry and started yelling at him. He just continued to sleep there afterwards. ^^;;; Definitely no use fighting with a cat.

+ Yesterday, I was also sort of angry with my family. They promised we could go out together but in the end they canceled the outing because the others had to go to this party (my sis a b'day party, my parents a wedding reception) and so they said they "needed a lot of time to prepare". >__< *FUME* So, I went out by myself and... SHOPPED! Bwahaha. ^-^ Shopping always make me feel better. :) Went to PLANET SURF and planned to buy a T-shirt and a wallet chain. I ended up getting a cell phone strap, two wallets (yes, TWO) and two pair of sandals (sandals, yes, again, yes, two, yes). I'll post pics up of the purchased items later. The shop assistants are really cool! I love talking to them. They're all young, have their hair dyed and highlighted blonde, and the guys are CUTE! I am serious. THEY ARE CUTE!!! This guy whom I talked with when I asked him to get me the wallets from the display is soooooo hotttttt. And he was there when I paid for all the things I bought so I got to check him out again. Fufufu. Mwah, mwah. I'll be definitely coming back there again later!

+ OK, the previous picture sorta spoiled this one. XD After shopping I went to DOME (I guess now I'm moving over to DOME and not visiting Starbucks anymore? --> It's actually because I work in a place that has two Starbucks counters. @_@ It could get boring seeing Starbucks every single day of my working life, so I decided that on weekends, I'm going to be @ DOME instead. :P) I had "the next best thing after Caramel Frap" menu: DOME's Kahlua Espreski and apple pie, the same one I had last week at the gathering-a-trois with Mic and Fre. ^^ I didn't even have to look at the menu to decide on this. :D

+ ... my gears. The transparent Women's Secret bag attracted a lot of attention. I have no idea why. I mean, transparent bags are common, right? It's not even the "in" thing right now. LOL. Maybe because everybody can see my colorful wallet and colorful Body Shop lipsticks inside that people keep asking me about it. And that's my current cell phone ... erm... gears. XD The long lace hanger and the pins and the stuffed cat and the pink strap and the Tackey & Tsubasa silver strap. Very noisy when I walk. And everyone's like, "Give me your pins!" ^^;; I might get bored with those soon so that's why I bought a new one in PLANET SURF.

+ And this is a very happy me. After all that, I'm happy. Manicure, shopping, DOME... ^-^ Fun, fun, fun. :D (I made like 25 shots of myself yesterday but I'll tone down the narcissism and post only one. XD)

Whoa... long post... lots of pics. Hopefully this doesn't slow anyone's loading of this page. ^^;;

My back hurts now. I'm PMS-ing a lot. I should be really bitchy, but I won't be, because I'm happy. ^-^

Subject: Weird Searches... Again

I've just been checking my tracker and found the following queries:
- Markus Rogan pics
- Yuri Nikitin pics
- Henrik Stehlik photos
Other than that there's a query for Taufik Hidayat, nudist rhythmic gymnastics (!!!) and about the Closing Ceremony, in which this singer whose name I forgot slipped from the stage. XD

Who's a fan of Stehlik and Rogan??? Come out and talk to me. XD Bwahaha.

I'm at work right now, updating from this computer in the office. :\ I really don't feel like working today. But my boss needs to do some serious filing. And there's no one else who could help him other than me ... because, well, because I'm his secretary. :D Mwahahaha...

Yesterday I wrote a loooooong entry in Indonesian about the funny things that occurred in my office. If any Indonesians/those who understand Indonesian would like to read it, you can view my Livejournal. It's quite hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing yesterday. But my Indonesian writing is baaaaad, so please forgive me. =___= Hee hee. :P

OK, back to work... back to work...

Subject: Hello September!

We've now entered my favorite month of the year. :D Hehehe... and we all know why September is my favorite month. If you don't know, then... shame on you. LOLness! Just kidding. ^^

Anyway, I've been very busy lately. Ever since I stepped into the office on Monday, I think my head has been wanting to explode. So many things to do and so little time to do it. The usual stuff... And I won't elaborate because I think I've said enough in my work journal. LOLness.

I do want to say that I've got my magazines and... ZAPPY has definitely become one of my favorite magazines! ^-^ Why? Because of all the Daigo Stardust goodies in it. It's like WINKUP = Junno goodies, ZAPPY = Daigo goodies. Whoo hoo! ^-^
Like for example, the September issue that I've just bought had this:

And that's BABY DAIGO for you! ^o^
Ahahahahaha... So happy that they are showing this pic of Daigo. *hearts* And so happy that Daigo looks cute as a baby. So I guess what he said about his mom's description of him when he was a baby was not a lie. He *is* a charming baby. That is one hell of a cute baby. Who grew up to be one hell of a gorgeous man. XD

I also bought Myojo. Lifting off the boycott for this month because it has KAT-TUN on the covers. I nearly fainted when I saw Junno. And I went berserk in front of the JB staff. XD Hahaha. They were like, "Ooookay. she's going to faint. Somebody get the magazine away from her!!!" But he is so lovely. I haven't opened the mag from the plastic wrapper at all... but hell, I can just be satisfied looking at him on the cover. Junnochan, daisuki!

I think I am going to pass out if I don't get off the computer now so I'm going to get out of here... NOW. Quick. Before... I... pass... out...
