My weekend is still going on fantastically!
A day of lazing around and eating delicious food and watching funny things on TV is always great.
Oh and I warn you now, I'm going to be such a chatterbox in this entry so if you're not up to some rollercoaster writing from me, don't stay tune. :P
First of all...
Isn't he gorgeous? I love guys when they're in front of a microphone or holding one. *hearts* I'm not supposed to act fangirl-y because, after all, his music is pretty serious. But I can't NOT be fangirl-y. ^^;; It's my way of expressing my admiration for the artists I like. Honestly, though, Takui deserves some more appreciation than my fangirliness. >.< I've been listening to his music NON-STOP for the past week. Now I can't choose which one I like more, whether it's PIERCE, FORK IN THE ROAD, FREE FOR FREE, SARABA MATENRO NO FAIRY TALE, TO THE MAX or I'M A SOD or.... I simply can't choose! There are just too many great songs from him. It's his vocal qualities that I love most about him. He sounds like what a rocker should sound like. His voice is so poignant - I cried the first time I heard FORK IN THE ROAD. It can do things to me the way B'z no Koshi Inaba does to me when he sings. I've decided to collect his albums. I have no idea as to how I'm going to be able to accomplish that but I will find a way! ZETTAI.
Today I finally watched BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE, a film written, directed and produced by the controversial, Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore. (Just a little note: FAHRENHEIT 9/11 is on my top list of movies to watch this summer.) It's one scary film, in the sense that it really makes you think about humanity and how vulnerably we are as human beings. We're beings that are easily provoked and incensed by propaganda. And it's terrifying how humans can hate one another, and then end each other's lives and then not taking responsibility for what we've done to other people's lives.
Parts of the film that I like the most is the part where Moore interviewed Marilyn Manson. I have to hand it to Manson; he's one smart man. The interview really opened my eyes that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover and I should be able to see past the surface. Applause for Manson from me (even though I still don't understand what the hell his music is all about. XD) The other interview that really got to me was the interview with that South Park creator... :D He has some really good points. That life doesn't end in high school, that high school is just a period that is going to end as soon as you enter, and that you still have a long way to go.
It's no secret that I always feel that I had the worst high school years compared to anybody else in this city... up to the point that I absolutely refuse to meet any of my old high school friends, unless they're really my good friends. But hey, it turns out to be that I don't need to feel that way at all!!! Because you know what? Now my life is great. It's a good thing I didn't die in high school or shortly afterwards, because life has just been positively amazing for me after high school. I went to the country of my dreams, I studied more of the languages I wanted to learn, I have a hobby that enables me to learn more about other cultures, I've made great friends from it and now I even earn my own money.
Anyway, back to the film... so yeah, it's really opened my eyes to many things. It's definitely one of the best films I've ever watched. I can't wait to see more of Moore's films, because I know I've found a gem in him. ;) New director idol! :D (Other than PJ and Jean-Pierre Jaunet that is. ;D)
Enough about films. I want to talk now about MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2004. Hehe, I know it's cheesy... I'm not usually excited about any MTV Awards (except for the MTV VMAJ and MTV EMA, sometimes) but this is something to be excited about because once again, ladies and gentlemen, LOTR: ROTK shines as it wins BEST MOVIE!!!. Need I say more?
OK, well, I still have more to say... XD DOMINIC. MONAGHAN. IS. SEXXXXXY. I don't usually dig drunk-looking guys like he was looking in this award show but I find that look really works on him (not to say that I like drunkards, ne~ don't get me wrong.) And I really love it the skits, esp. between Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Peter Jackson at the beginning when the first two pushed the latter into making a romantic film about SAM AND FRODO. XD I'll bet my ass that's every LOTR slash fans' dream!!! I wish it were true. ^^
Btw, I also like how they're taking the piss out of Jim Caviezel playing Jesus Christ. XD Lil Jon was saying that his red carpet highlight was "meeting Jesus" and that "I've been blessed by Jesus". And then there's that skit involving Jim Caviezel... LOL. It's damn funny. But this doesn't change my mind about the film: it's way too bloody for me and I am never ever going to watch it. @_@
I need to take a shower now. I have a chat with her coming up soon. I still have more to say but I guess this blog is tired even of its own owner... :P So I'll leave and say ciao!

My weekend is going on fantastically!
Yesterday, however, my dad left for Sydney on a business trip. Surprise, surprise... I didn't ask him to buy me anything! XD Hahaha... well, that's because what is it that you can buy in Sydney that we don't have here anyway?! :-S OK, so I'm tempted to ask him to go to Sportsgirl and pick up a top for me but erm, I'll spare him the embarrassment. So, no omiyage for me this time.
Still on yesterday's agenda, I met up with Fi to go watch SHREK 2. We wanted to watch in Plaza Semanggi but before that we made plans to visit Kino. (I am telling you again, NO IT'S NOT ENOUGH THAT I WORK THERE ON WEEKDAYS BUT I JUST HAVE TO GO THERE ON WEEKENDS TOO!!!!!!! XD)
I did have something to show to Fi yesterday... I wanted to show him the stationery guy I have a crush on. And true enough, he was there... XD Fio's comment was, "OMG, he is *so* Pippo Inzaghi, *so* your type!" ^^;;;; So I guess all the guys I like are Pippo-ish! XD
Moving on... in Kino, Fi and I were getting really made crazy by the new arrivals products. First of all, one of the stationery guys, Adi, greeted us and he said, "Amanda, check out the new products that just arrived yesterday." And he showed us to the new arrival shelf and there it was... JORDI LABANDA NOTEBOOKS!!! Fi and I immediately gasped, squealed and screamed, "Oh sheeeeyat!!! We have to get these!" And we spent about half an hour deciding which design of the notebooks we should but. I ended up buying two; one for my sister, despite the fact that we had just fought earlier. Then we picked some magazines for me and paid and passed in front of the stationery section once again just so I could see the stationery guy. ;D Huehehe...
Our next stop after Kino was the cinema. Like I said, we wanted to watch in Semanggi but there was a heavy traffic jam, caused by the campaigning Amien Rais, so we couldn't make it in time. Instead we went to Citos and decided to watch there. Freak! We got there like an hour and a half before the show and the seats were already filled up to about a half of the studio! And the cinema was really, really crowded... with kids, tweens, teens, adults... understandably, because there were three major motion pictures playing at that time: THE PUNISHER, HARRY POTTER and SHREK. Luckily we still got our tickets, pretty good seats too if I might add and while waiting for the showtime we went to eat in the legendary Mangkok Putih restaurant (this is where Mic, Fre, Kar-kun and I went to when we had our gathering in Citos; where the waiters all knew me... ^^;;;).
THE FILM IS WICKED. It was bloody fantastic. It's even better than the first one, and I'm not too fond of sequels. (Shiru, have you watched it? Man, we gotta see some films together when you're here!!!)
Can I say it, please oh please?
Pray for mercy from... puss in boots!
<3 Antonio... I've never seen/heard him this funny.
All the cameos (Sir Justin?! XD) and the parodies (Lord of the Rings?! XD)... and the Prince Charming mommy's boyness... and Puss and Donkey's duet of "LIVIN' LA VIDA LOCA"... and Donkey having kids with Dragon... we were laughing our asses off from the first second to the last. And I can't stop humming "ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE" by Counting Crows. MAD. BRILLIANT.
*takes a deep breath*
I'm tired now after typing all that. :P But I have to go away to the TV for now because MTV Movie Awards 2004 is coming up next and I have to record some LOTR goodness from it so I'll blog again later... :3
Btw, some Daigo Stardust pics are up in DS LJ Community.

Before I say anything else, junnosuke-taguchi.com is updated. (This is the reason why I haven't been blogging here; I've been concentrating on [MILK WHITE].)
On to the next thing:
MY LOTR DVD IS HERE!
HURRAH!!! This is excellent. I'm going to watch it tonight... who cares if I wake up late for work tomorrow morning?! XD
You know what, my current workplace is just absolutely evil. @_@ Yesterday, I spent like... oh I dunno, some US$40 on more and more books. I got w-inds.'s Ryohei's PB, as well as the anime book of Gensomaden Saiyuki. I swear to God, I'm going to go bankrupt working there. XD ... Actually, I could've bankrupted myself since a few weeks ago because there was still Gensomaden Saiyuki's BACKGAMMON REMIX on sale. But it was sold out before I could pick it up... OK, so I settled for the anime book instead. And just now, THREE GACKT PBs PLUS FLAME'S YUSUKE'S BLUE PB AND MOON CHILD PB WERE ON DISPLAY!!! I was like, "Oh sheeeeeyat! MORE BOOKS?!" Bwahahahaha... I do believe that it does me more BAD than GOOD working in that place! ^^;;;;
Another evilness that is happening to me while I'm working there is... TOO MANY EYECANDIES. OK, I seriously think some of my male colleagues as well as my boss' associates are just waaaaaaaaay gorgeous. Like, for example, that Japanese guy from OCS company. *drool* Sexiest Japanese man I've ever seen in Jakarta. As for my colleagues, there's this guy, yeah... he's so damn handsome. He's only a year younger than me... and his department is near the CS counter so I can freely see him at any time and today... I COULDN'T CONCENTRATE AT ALL BECAUSE OF HIM!!! Bwah. XD And just this afternoon, one of my boss' Singaporean associate, Mr. David Fox, came and looked for me. The JB people were like, "oooooh, Amanda, someone's looking for you. *wink*" LOL. I just went out and gave him the documents he needed as per my boss' instruction... after that, he was, like, "Thanks for your help, Amanda. Can I treat you to coffee?" I'm like, "Oh, sorry, I'm not off yet... Boss is still making me run errands." Then he smiled oh so sweetly and said, "Oh well, next time then. Take care! I'll see you around!" *thud* OMAIGOD!!! He's sooooo nice. I know he's married and all, but still... HE'S SO LOVELY!!! ^_^
And you wonder: am I working or am I working?! XD
Well, then, I'm going to listen to some Orange Pekoe now... <3
